After being in the wedding and events industry for 5 years and running lauralece 827 for almost a year now, I’ve come to learn that there are certain parts of my process that my clients or leads are always curious about. Some main questions are “What do you do as a wedding planner?” or “Why does your management process (day-of coordination) begin two months before our wedding?” People always wonder about these two specifically because clients want to know what they are paying for and what type of service they will be receiving. But don’t sweat it! I am going to give the people what they are wanting! I am going to share some of the most interesting parts of our processes to help you figure out if we are the right creative for you (and just because I think our processes are fun)!
as planners we
To start off, we offer four different processes for weddings since no bride is alike, and this is how we can better serve each of our clients’ needs. Then we have a la carte service as well for all other events. The five processes include full service, management, design, planning, and a la carte. As a whole, we are a wedding/event planning and design company. Our clients come to us in need of a vision, organization, ideas, plans, a sounding board, budgeting, resources, or someone to walk with them in this season of life they are currently in. Whatever it may be whether a wedding or other event we are bringing to life, we strive to create that which we both will never forget. Like the amazing planners and designers we are, we jump right off into whatever waters our clients are in with them and begin doing what we do best! We start with coffee and a consultation to align our brains with our clients. After that, we start building our vendor team giving our clients the best of the best to select from. During the booking of the team, we also create a mood board and in-depth design. Once we have a team and design, we take the ideas from paper and bring them to life while becoming best of friends with our client over our planning journey!
design
One part of the process that I feel clients love the most but have no idea it exists until they book us is the in-depth design. We start with taking all the information we have collected through the call and consultation; we do some design brainstorming and create a mood board for that particular client’s wedding. On the mood board, you will find the color pallette and the vibe we are going for. Once the mood board is approved then we take that and create the in-depth design, which is the whole wedding on paper. In-depth designs are organized by sections like florals, tablescape, floor plan, etc. These are so important to have for every wedding (I cannot stress that enough)! The in-depth design keeps us organized, aligned, helps all vendors, helps my team on wedding day, and so much more. Clients love design meetings because they can start to see the vision come to life and pieces come together. It’s always fun for us to see the excitement that overcomes our clients too!
management
A very common question about our management process specifically is “Why does your management process (day-of coordination) begin two months before our wedding?” I have found that stepping in two months before the wedding is the most stress-free way. The last two months leading up to your wedding is a time that you don’t want to be thinking about the last minute logistics, orders, or payments. You want to be completely consumed with your fiance and family! This system catches us up to speed quicker and allows us to gain a better idea and relationship with our clients. If we were to show up the day-of or the week before, we would not be able to give our client the seamless and stress-free experience that we guarantee. So, we choose to execute the management process this way to stay true to our clients and to us.
As a business owner, I have put many tears, thoughts, and prayers into my company. In the beginning, I created lauralece 827 because #1 God led me to this and #2 He gave me a passion and purpose for this industry. I will always continue to be a good steward of what he has entrusted to me and allowed me to do. I plan to continue to serve and grow with current and future clients along with this community. If you are in the season of engagement or trying to plan your daughter’s first birthday or whatever event you are planning, then we are your people: you just may not know it yet, haha!
